The National Stage!


In April, I was invited to participate in the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum's 2026 Small Works, Great Wonders Show & Sale. This has been a goal since I began painting in earnest in 2012. I am thrilled and honored to hang in their hallowed halls among the best artists in the nation, some of whom are my friends and mentors. The event is November 13, in Oklahoma City, OK. I've been able to paint a lot this year! See my "NEWS" page to read all about the shows, workshops, judging, and demos that have kept me busy. I have also been seen in the Western Art Collector magazine's June and August issue and the upcoming November issue as well (see below). 

This month, I migrated my website to a new host. This gave me the opportunity to redesign my "brand", shifting to a more western feel. My oils and pastels have leaned in this direction in recent years, and I feel a kinship to the genre since I live in Oklahoma. I have a new look to my business cards, too. I tipped it in the photo (below)  to show the letter-press printing and red edges.

To my delight and supreme happiness, I received an email informing me that my pastel painting was accepted into the 2022 International Association of Pastel Societies (IAPS) Juried PastelWorld Exhibition—40th Open Division. The exhibit will be up during the IAPS Fourteenth Biennial Convention in Albuquerque, NM, June 22–25, 2022. This is the first international competition into which I've been accepted! Fortunately, I already registered for the convention, so I will be able to see it hanging amongst the best pastellists in the world. I will be able to share the image after the exhibition opens.
